Just jailbroke my phone but I'm having some post pwn issues:
All of the update appeared to complete OK, phone rebooted and cydia and installer avaialble, installer had no sources available except one lock source, and cydia simply crashes back to the springboard when launching.

I managed to add some more repos into installer by installing a repo package, but a very slim range of apps available. If I try to add repos listed in other sites I either get invalid repo or the apps just wont install, errors with invalid package
This includes adding the source for cydia and attempting to reinstall.

Any ideas on troubleshooting, or should I just re flash. if so, should I restore factory or my backed up config first?

Using Quickpwn 1.1 for OSX and the iPhone1,2_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw firmware.
I have an 8GB iPhone 3G.

Please help.
