wi-fi browser auto-authentication

Does anyone ever find themselves needing auto-authentication to RADIUS servers via HTTP (i.e., T-Mobile hotspot, or University wireless networks)?

Seems like a simple app would be to store credentials (iKeychain?) and when a Wifi connection is made to a pre-determined network (UFW or T-Mobile Hotspot, for me) ... then authenticate!

This would allow applications that run in the background on the iPhone to work wirelessly, instead of "thinking" they have a Wi-fi connection and getting stuck. Also, would allow me to just hit the browser button and avoid filling in authentication details.

Who's up to the challenge? Should be cake for some of the talented l33tn3ss i've seen on here.
