[Terminal] Fix for SuidLibFix: Main Script Execution failed (Terminal Password)
First!!! I'm Brazilian and may not speak English perfectly! xP
So, i've noticed that too many people were having problems with the instalation of Suid Lib Fix (Main Script Execution failed) and could not access their Terminal as "root".
I was one of these people and I didn't find any Thread that solve it... (If this thread exists, sorry, I really couldn't find)
Ok! Let me explain how I made the suidlibfix work in my iPhone.
First Pass:
Download THIS.
And descompress it. (for Windows users, this descompression can be made using WinRAR or Winzip).
Second Pass:
Use WinSCP, Transmit, AFPd, iPhoneBrowser (whatever) and access the directory: /usr/bin
Now, send the 4 files (ln, chmod, mkdir and suidlibfix) of the SuidLibFix.zip to this directory.
After this, reset your iPhone.
Third Pass:
After the Reset, open the Terminal of the iPhone.
Now try to login as root (password: alpine).
-if the login success, GREAT! Nothing else to Fix. (I think) =X
-if the login fail, hold the HomeButton for 7s until the Terminal suddenly exit.
Reopen the Terminal and execute these commands in that order:
cd /usr/bin
suidlibfix
After this, try to login as root again.
I think you will be able to login like I was! xD
Just a few comments:
1. My iPhone is 1.1.1 OTB week 39, FW 1.1.4, Modem FW 04.04.05_G, BL 4.6, Pwned with PwnageTool and NOT Fakeblanked.
2. This Tutorial worked very well for me and for the iPhones I've tried. But I'm not absolutly sure it will work with your iPhone.
3. And most important, I am NOT responsible for injuries that this may cause to your iPhone.
Namaste!
