[Req] SatNav (GPS Map app)

hello. Are there any satnav programmes on iPhone? Ie. Same as tomtom. Can you use a gps receiver with maps? Thanks. Ps. iPhone mk1

As far as I know there are no real solutions at the moment (for the current iPhone). Although, one of the members here is currently involved in a project in bringing GPS to the iPhone and iPod Touch. He's pretty much in the final stages and you can keep up to date on his blog:

Obviously the new iPhone available next month comes with GPS and i'm assuming some nice software to run along side.
