podscast deleting & synching

I've found one thing very irritating about the iphone/podcast synchronization. After I view a podcast, I can delete it from the iphone. However, when I sync, it copies it back over again. I have iTunes set to synch only unviewed content, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Does anyone know a way to get a delete on the iphone to persist to itunes?

I have noticed this as well. Interesting, it only happens with video podcasts, not audio-only ones.

Yes, this is something that was happening the original firmware, 1.02 and the 1.1.1 firmware.

I have always found this to be odd.
