how do I install/uninstall deb files?

I wanted to use intelliscreen version 2.24, not the current 2.25... I downloaded the deb file but am clueless on what to do with it.
Ive been researching on google and it seems that through terminal I punch in something like
dpkg -i MyProgram.deb

but where do I place the actual file? on the iPhone in the root dir? Leave it on the desktop of the computer? I dunno.. I just dont want to run a command and screw something up having to restore.

Im pretty good at modding my own iPhone but I do need help now and again.

just place the deb file in any folder or directory in your iphone. I used WinScp and connected to my phone, went to the folder that contained the file and opened up terminal command window and then executed the command dpkg -i MyProgram.deb. You can delete the deb file after u installed.
The program will show up as installed in cydia.

Hmmm not sure I can make out what your asking. :(

i have program
name is ArabtallerPro21_6.deb

when I used WinScp and connected to my phone, went to the folder that contained the file and opened up terminal command window and then executed the command dpkg -i ArabtallerPro21_6.deb it's go to internet to actived then install
wht i do to install this apps with out actived in net

The easiest Way( one step to install)

1. press the [install deb] button on ispirit(1.0.3)
2. select a deb file you want to install
3. press the install button the ispirit will do every thing for you.

Second choose(Via Cydia)

Preparations:Install Cydia on your Jailbreak iPhone

1. Download the iSpirit.exe/winscp into your PC

2. Connect iPhone to your PC

3. Run iSpirit.exe(vai usb)/winscp(via wifi) from PC

4 . Navigate to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall/

5. put the .deb app file in the AutoInstall folder.

6. Reboot and Respring iPhone via iSpirit.


Third choose(Via iFile)


Preparations:Install iFile on your Jailbreak iPhone

1. Download the iSpirit.exe/winscp into your PC

2. Connect iPhone to your PC

3. Run iSpirit.exe/winscp from PC

4 . Navigate to /var/mobile/Library/Document

5. put the .deb app file in the Document folder.

6. Open iFile (from iphone) then navigate to /var/mobile/Library/Document

7. Choose .deb file by tapping then install


Fourth choose(Via Mobile Terminal)


Preparations:Install Mobile Terminal on your Jailbreak iPhone

1. Download the iSpirit.exe/winscp into your PC

2. Connect iPhone to your PC

3. Run iSpirit.exe/winscp from PC

4 . Navigate to /tmp

5. put the .deb app file in the tmp folder.

6. Open Mobile Terminal(from iphone)

7. type: dpkg -i /tmp/filename.deb

you can down iSpirit.exe from http://www.ithemesky.com/ispirit
you can down winscp from winscp.net/eng/download.php
