Help apps don't show on iphone 3g

Hey guys,

I've got an iphone that was given to me. Its up to date with 2.30.. and 5.9 updates so I can't use it yet cause i'm waiting for a chip so i can take my simcard from my blackberry and put it in there...

The problem I am having now (besides not being able to use the phone as a phone) is that i cannot get applications to stay in it..my friend put in some games for me and they don't show on my home screen, we've installed them a bunch of times and they don't work- any reason why???

i got the same problem i have an unlocked iphone for tmobile and i download the apps but it wont show up on my homescreen...

Is this iphone jailebraked?
