Dock Screenshot Issue

The screenshot application built into Dock 2.06 was working just fine for me yesterday.

Now, all of a sudden, it doesn't save the screenshots into Camera Roll. It goes through the motions of clicking a screenshot. But, one picture ends up in the tmp folder and rest never show up anywhere.

Has anyone else experienced this, and have a way to figure it out? I've installed and uninstalled Dock several times, but it's still messed up.

It's been said that one may need to prime the pump by having a picture already in Camera Roll. I've tried that and it doesn't work here.

If anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it.

I do not have a solution, but inal experiencing the same problem. I have tried all he solutions mentioned above without luck...any ideas? Thanks!

I spoke to Nate True earlier on irc, and he didn't know how to fix it. He didn't even seem to be aware of this problem.

I had the same problem with Dock. After taking the first pix with the iphone's camera, the problem is gone. Dock's pix got stored in the Camera Roll folder.

I don't even get a screenshot in ANY of my pictures folders! Rebooted the iPhone and retried again from the Dock app. NOTHING :confused:

Erica Sadun commandline utilities are great for taking snapshots, give em a try, you will like them!

Agreed. This was the only way I could get the screenshots to save. Before that it would make the sound but not save anywhere.

But sometimes that won't even do it...(speaking from experience).

If you don't mind restoring and reinstalling everything (you will soon have this opportunity since 1.1.2 rolls
out tomorrow...or whenever jailbreak works again), I advise you to install Dock in the following order below:

BSD Systems
Community Sources
OpenSSH
Dock

Then...

Take at lease one pic with your camera. Now you can take screenshots with the Dock app even after installing SummerBoard, Customize and all the other apps.

finally got it to work after trying the first pic with the camera solution. only problem now is the rendering of the screenshot photo doesn't perform properly sometimes. i know the photo is fine because i email the pic and viewed it fine. problem seems to be with the iphone deciding not to render the photo for proper viewing after being captured and dumped into the camera folder.

On another note, how do you do a screencapture SHOWING the DOCK 2.0 icons in the curve formation?
