Cydia package download location

Hi,

I would like to know if anybody knows where Cydia stores downloaded installation packages.

It must be saved somewhere, because when you try to reinstall a package, it does not download it again.

I ask because a certain source which I use has gone offline, and I will need that package if I have to restore (the packages is on my phone now).

Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

I think the packages are deleted after installation. But if they are still there, they might be in /var/cache/apt/archives.

Yes, because they are normally deleted after installation :D

Either use the command-line (as root, type apt-get -d install packagename and it's downloaded to that same place), or download it directly form one of the repositories -- e.g. Saurik, Modmyi or Bigboss.

But what is the difference between darwin and iphoneos files? I suppose latter are for the iPhone, but then I'm curious what darwin files are for :)

As far as I know, Darwin is the system on Apple Mac computers running OS X.
