[Carrier] How to: Change ANY carrier logo!

Ok....thanks to Darkmen and n000b who made this possible!

Beware: With this method iPhone WILL always use Default_CARRIER_ATT.png regardless on which network are U connected, so U CAN'T tell when U are roaming!

Make backup of your orginal Springboard file just in case U wanna go back on previous state.

Download patched 1.0.2 springboard file http://r_apidshare.com/files/55713719/SpringBoard,
Download patched 1.1.1 springboard file - http://rapid_share.com/files/64543308/SpringBoard.html
Download patched 1.1.2 sprinboard file - http://rapid_share.com/files/7211065...patch.zip.html

...and upload it to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ over the orginal file,AND PUT PERMISSION TO 0755, reboot!

Now it will show AT&T carrier logo, now u can change to any carrier logo with Customize !!!

What if i am in france with "Orange F" as carrier name ?
Replacing logos and SpringBoard does not work. SpringBoard is never launched

EDIT : ok sorry : had to apply execute rights on the file :)

The patched springboard file is not downloadable. Do you have another link?

I am aware you can change the carrier name logo by replacing the Default_CARRIER_ATT.png and the FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png images.

I know this method but I don't want to use it.

Instead, I am looking for a dynamic way to change the logo name (like I did for the font size in the SpringBoard file with a hex editor).

Please help.

Could you tell me please what's been patched in this SpringBoard file ??

Also, in you case you are with TMOB, and the logo don't fit you can use this method.

Open SpringBoard file, and edit it in hex.

search for loopOperatorToBeginning, then just above that there's the font size you can change.

font-size: 16px; color: .#404040.white...; letter-spacing: ..loopOperatorToBeginning.loopOperatorToEnd
