Thanks Buddy, I used the one from 1.1.1 and the icon appeared in springboard and the app is working!
i cant fing categories either, and i also add the reppository
It's weird...because I saw updates...I don't understand how it works inside installer...
BTW, I've been using it and I've thought a couple of improvements:
-Option to rename a category
-Option to change the icon and background image (I know it's possible through the file systeme, but it will be nice to integrate it to the GUI)
-"Secured" Category: Have an option to create a password to open the category
What does the app iSMS do?
after you add his source. You need to go to installer then to the sources category to add another big boss source that is available on his older source.
and add shais sources as well. His all sources contains all of the sources on the mmi wiki
i installed this yesterday and it works absolutly perfectly.... brilliant app!!!
Categories is very nice. But it really should be a part of Customize. Seems the work in the same area, managing icons and such.
But why does Categories change name of some apps? Like Clock is MobileTime, Mail is MobileMail and so on. And why is the app names cut off? NetService become NetServi...
I also would like to see a back button when inside a category, it feels more intuitive than using the home button, like in the lower left corner or something. Home button is for exit/quit an application, atleast it feels better than using it to go back one screen.
The Screen button in the top left corner should be removed. My theme is aligned with the app icons, but now when i use the theme images the icons is in the wrong place. Since the Screen button and the category name take some space. Would be nice if this could be avoided. If it would be possible it should be a setting to save the Default.png automatically if a change has been made in a category.
Dont know what Allow Hide Icons should do, but i would guess that it would hide the icons on SB automatically without having to hide them in Customize after. I'm running 1.1.2 but nothing happend with it turned on. Had to hide the icons in Customize.
Dont take me wrong, this is a great application. Like it better to have one page with categories than to have a lot of pages with icons. This could be a really good app, and it would be even better if BigBoss could team up with the one that made Customize and put them together.
Idea: the appendix of type of a categories by BigBoss.
Categories - the good app, but works too slowly. I have thought up the alternative decision: on the first page labels (the same games, system apps, etc) are created, and on other pages we have our appendices. For example on the second page at us Games, on the third System apps. We press on the first page a label system apps and us throws on the third page with ours system apps. All works quickly. The truth I do not know as to add new page on springboard not hammering under an outset previous (blank app not absolutely successful decision since casual pressing starts blank app - is lost all chesspiece in speed of work as a whole).
It would be healthy, if somebody will make such app.
Excuse for my English, I used the translator.
Have anyone tried the last version 1.50? I've reading the Changelog and they removed the disable/hide button, but it's not clear if it does it automatically.
I'm a little affraid with that, cuase the used to have some issues with this option...
Seriously, Boss Pref and Categories are one of the best Apps to come out for the iPhone. Both of these apps have kept my iPhone cluster free.
I have to give props to Boss; since he released the Categories app he's been updating it on a weekly basis making it more stable and faster.
Boss you will be getting my donation later today.
