I cant get winSCP to connect.

I have installed openSSH but it does not appear on the springboard. (I recall whilst on 1.1.2 the icon was a switch).

I have installed services and SSH is on.

When i try and connect via winSCP the error appears "Network Error: Connection Refused"

I am logging on with user:root and pwd:alpine

Any ideas please?

I've had this happen and after hours of mucking about it was my network

All I did was reset my router and I had connection again to the phone.

That mite be worth a quick try first

SSH is not enabled if you get this error.

Try to enable SSH with BossPrefs.

This is what i did...........

Installed openSSH (ste distro), winSCP error
Uninstalled openSSH (ste distro)
Installed openSSH (iClarified distro) winSCP error
Installed services, SSH was 'ON'
Installed BossPrefs, SSH was 'ON'
Uninstalled openSSH
Checked Services & BossPrefs, SSH not present
Installed openSSH
Checked Services & BossPrefs, SSH set to 'ON' on both
winSCP Error

Looked at router (Netgear DG834PN) !

Set firewall rules to "Allow All" services for the iphones ip addy

Works !!!
