Kinda stupid that it's named psx4all but it really isn't for all. Some of us can't support it monetarily and in my opinion shouldn't be left out in the open. At the very least change the name of the project. I'll just go load up psx games on my psp, it's free on there.

Only betas are donationware, release builds are free of charge. It is from the same developer who made GBA emulator, betas were released same way in gpSphone.

I refuse to believe someone with enough money for an iPhone doesn't have $10 to throw his way.

I'm more than willing to donate but is this thing even playable yet? The GBA emulator is only slightly playable. I don't find myself using it too often except to show off the IPoT's many merits to friends.

Ok, here goes. No, it doesn't suck when someone wants a little money for all their hard work. However, when it's unclear whether the end result will be playable, or even possible, it's generally a good idea to exercise a little restraint with your wallet.

I tried out the PSX4All app here. Here are some things of note:

1) Most of the games I tried were so slow as to be a slideshow. Even with frame skip turned way up.

2) No fault of their emulator at all, but I had forgotten... PSX roms -- even compressed PSX roms -- are anywhere between 200 and 700mb. Average seems to be about 400mb.

These take a long time to copy to your Iphone or IPoT only to find they're a slideshow or don't work at all

Has anyone found any games that are actually playable? I've read the beta forums for psx4all but so far I dont see much.

This is not donation. When you make people to donate it calls "selling". If I have to pay for it why call it donation. donation means some people have money and can donate more instead of those who don't have money or can't donate. Like me living in a place there is no credit card and no easy way for transfering money overseas. These things make difference between donation and purchase.
