nope, no news on gnash...
pxl package installer plugin can be downloaded from pxl.ibrckr.com, its functions are just installing pxl packages over the air from within safari...

PXL Packages : http://pxl.ibrickr.com/
PXL Information: http://pxl.googlecode.com/
PXL packages are very flexible, supporting Pre-Install, Post-Install, and Pre-Remove commands. These are in addition to nifty features like it autostops services if the package installed a plist in LaunchDaemons.
PXL packages can be installed through Breezy/iBrickr/MobileSafari or by simply placing a few files in proper places on the iPhone.
I encourage developers to examine the Shimmer code for easy (about 4 lines) update functionality right from your programs. (This can be found at the PXL google code page)
For developers that need help packaging their updates, I would be happy to help.
You can find me on irc.osx86.hu on #iphone-uikit... my nick is extremis.

I don't know if this helps for getting gnash on the iPhone but,
in the gnash INSTALL readme file it says that
" If you are _building_ compiler tools for cross-compiling, you should
use the option `--target=TYPE' to select the type of system they will
produce code for.
If you want to _use_ a cross compiler, that generates code for a
platform different from the build platform, you should specify the
"host" platform (i.e., that on which the generated programs will
eventually be run) with `--host=TYPE'."
Is it possible to use a cross compiler for creating gnash for the iPhone?

Don't know if this is off-topic, but one Safari plugin I would dearly love to see is something along the lines of SafariBlock. Given how much the ad servers slow down rendering, I'd love to be able to block them on certain sites. SafariBlock on my Mac has dramatically sped up my surfing, and it would only be that much more useful on the iPhone.
"Are you into S&M?"
"Well...I'm a Red Sox fan. Does that count?"
Go Sox!

I think we could try a simpler version just by modifying the host file with an adblock host file. Any thoughts on that as an adblocking soluion ?
Eh Nevermind tried replacing the host file to filter sites no go. Any other ideas?

How about a Safari plugin that just downloads files rather than saying "Safari does not support this function"?
This shouldn't be that hard, should it?

Been waiting for that one
