When ever i visit Google or Orkut from the iphone it takes me to the mobile version of the page.i dont see any option to switch to classic view on the Orkut but for google page its available.

I have reset all the setting,deleted the history,cookies but still when i open google or orkut it takes me the mobile mode.

Is there any way to let safari load the webversion of the page but not the mobile version

I am on 1.1.4

Thank you for the reply but the problem still exists.

i have installed the application you referred to and also the 1.1.4 cookie fix from installer but still its the same.

Any other ides why its happening?

Well, not the best solution but it can solve some issues.
Go to google and search for orkut.
Now open the orkut main page in cache.

That´s all...

Tried the above but still when i click on the link it will redirect me to the mobile version of orkut.

strange, for me works fine, even on the Iphone(1.1.2) and Ipod(1.1.4).

Are you clicking on the "cache" link?

I was also able to browse normally but ,not sure why its redrecting to the mobile version.

No i am not using a link, i have deleted all the history,cokies,cache,did a search in google for orkut and tried that but even then i dont get the usual webpage,its the mobile version which comes up.

it is a clean version of a cached login page. The user data is sent direct to the orkut server.

It's because of iPhone safari's user agent. I wish there was a user agent switcher for the iPhone like the one available for Firefox.
