I second the request for pdf files. I download a lot of manuals for different pieces of equipment and this would be a life saver. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

I just discovered what I believe is a pretty nasty “side-effect” of the FileDownloadPlugin. It also prevents email attachments that are normally displayable on the phone from working! This includes pdf, doc, xls and probably the rest as well. I quit after testing those 3.
I verified this in the following way:
With the plug-in uninstalled, and a fresh restart, I sent myself 3 emails, each containing an attachment of 1 of those types. They all displayed fine. Then I installed the plug-in and restarted the phone. Now, none of them would display, I just got a lego/? icon where the attachment would be. Next, I untinstalled the plug-in and restarted. They all worked again.
Seems fairly logical to me, after all the folder is called “Internet Plug-Ins”!
The good news aspect of this, is there’s a chance the plug-in author may figure out how to harness this to download email attachments. But for now, I’m leaving the plug-in uninstalled.
UPDATE: My bad. After reinstalling with a fresh copy and re-testing, the plug-in is working correctly with no interference to eMail. Thanks to alk for pointing this out!

I was trying to test something and I've somehow managed to disable the plugin. Unistalled and reinstalled but I still can't get it to work, I've rebooted the phone several times but nothing. Tried with different plists as well.
Any ideas?

Thanks. I tried it on the converted file I was talking about earlier and unfortunately it reports text/plain .
Unfortunately, the plugin stopped working for me completely. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work again to test if I can download the file above by editing the plist.

I didn't find any side-effects receiving email with pdf, doc, xls attachments and FileDownLoadPlugin enabled. Yahoo mail show me everything as before.
Unfortunately, zip attachment is impossible to save, it's shown as blue small ? inside the message, but it is rather predictable result.

This File Sharing Plug-In has been added to NetServices as a switch control and is available in the latest update (0.1.5). An version of the plug-in has also been added to the CopyCoders installer repository for easy installation. This version has scripting included specifically designed to work with NetServices. Due to the specific nature to the scripting needed no other install is promised to work. Please remove the File Sharing Plug-In before installing from CopyCoders.
Add CopyCoders to your installer sources and NetServices along with the File Sharing Plug-In and many other netwrok services will become available in CopyCoders folder.
- Open Installer
- Tap Sources along bottom navigation bar
- Tap Edit along top navigation bar
- Tap Add along top navigation bar
- Enter: http://homepage.mac.com/hartsteins/copycoders/copycoders.xml
- Tap OK
- Once Installer finishes adding source - Tap Done
- CopyCoders should now appear as a source in "Other Sources". If it does not -Tap Refresh.
- Tap Install along bottom navigation bar
NetServices...etc will now be available for installation under the "CopyCoders" heading.
Thanks
Greg

UPDATE: I fixed the plugin by installing the version from NetServices repository. But still no go on the mp3 even after I added a new section in the plist with text/plain type. Same message, bla blah page too large blah.
