After unlock I have a permanent red dot on the top right of my phone icon. Normally, this should only appear if I have a missed call. However, after unlock it is there all the time, even if I don't have any missed calls.

Anyone else have this problem? How do we remove it?

I've unlocked two phones both had the red dot and one even had the number 1 in it but I checked and there are no new messages. Wondering how to get rid of it as well.

this will stay this way until someone finds a software fix. it's there because there is no visual vm capabilities... something in the baseband i suppose looking for ATT, and not finding it, and not know what to do.

You might be right because when I bring up the phone menu there is a red dot on the Voicemail button as well.....EVEN though my voicemail inbox is empty.

That's weird, my reply with quote is listed before the message quoted.

I only get the red dot if somebody leaves me a voice mail. It will go away after checking voice mail. It will show the red dot with a number if i missed a call.

That is absolutely correct. To clear the red dot, call your voicemail (just tap the Voicemail icon to dial), then delete any unplayed voicemail messages.

That bugs me a lot about this forum. I saw a thread with the original post showing up as the second post, and the first post showing up as the second post.

Strange, I completely cleared my voicemail (even the saved messages) and the red dot is still there. I'm on T-Mobile USA.
