I upgraded to 1.1.4 from 1.1.1 successfully but now I can't get my Google email to work.

I've tried both by clicking on the GMail icon and typing the information in there and get an error. Something about "unable to SSL... do you want to try without..."

I then tried setting up per these instructions:

But still get the same error... Any ideas?

Dont know how to fix this directly, but I had the same problem. What I did though was to sett up Gmail in Outlook Express and then synched the email account with iTunes to the phone, after that it worked. Dont know why though honostly
