[MobileChat] login details at risk or no..?
hello there friends, just a simple question and not trying to imply any shadiness of any sort towards the developers... here's the deal:
i am a *long* time ICQ user and have what would be considered some pretty desirable UINs... i have been too leery to use any of the previously suggested web-based solutions for instant messengers for the iPhone in the fear that my accounts might get jacked, call me paranoid but it does happen when it comes to desirable 5-6 digit UINs...
however, the new MobileChat looks really nice, but i just wanted to confirm that it operates as a straight-up client and only communicates w/ the normal servers, or does it get relayed through some sort of relay point where my details might be at risk?
again, this is not intended as a jab at the developers, who i have no reason to believe would have anything to do w/ such practices, but would be nice to know just how the client routes before i punch in the precious digits...
thx in advance friends, putting my tinfoil hat back on now..!
