Maps offline with iPhone 2.0

I have a pwned iPhone 2G @ at version 2.0. I did not install Cydia while creating the custom firmware image.
1) Can I install it later without going through complete restore process ?
2) Has anybody tried Maps offline application with or without Cydia.

Does not work yet as MapsOffline requires the Jiggy Runtime which has not been ported to the 2.0 environment yet.

Thanks for the info.
It sucks to load maps on edge & I have couple gigs lying around doing nothing... storing maps would have been pretty awesome

Just use the built in screenshot to take pics of the maps you want?

Taking photos wouldnt be the same :p
At Nambrot's site I read this "Kann dann auch scho mit Programmieren anfangen. Noch ist ja keine "echte" Offline Lösung im AppStore." Now I only speak english and a bit of Dutch but it seems he's asking for programmers to help him make a real version for AppStore. Anyway, good news!
