[Maps] Default country when searching an address
When I click an address in the Contacts list, Maps is started and searches the address. If no country is in the address list (i.e. with addresses in my own country), it always assumes the address is in the US. And then it can't find it, obviously.
Does anyone know how this works? What can be done to set the default Maps country?

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.
Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
* on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
* on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Clumsy 'solution'
As a clumsy solution, I have edited /System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework/ABAddressFormats.plist and simply changed the country name "United States". Maps now thinks it sends a US address, but the text it sends is not the name of the US.
There must be a better way.
