Invalid Chris Alvare's Daemon, and why?
after reading Chris Alvares blog » Creating an iPhone Daemon Part 5, i downloaded xcode project and wanna try it on my mac. i did the following steps and nothing happened:
1.copy from /CALocationDemon/build/Debug-iphonesimulator/CALocationDemon to /Users/Myself/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications
2.create a new CALocationDemon.plist under /System/Library/LaunchDaemons according to Chris Alvares blog » Creating an iPhone Daemon Part 4
after those i launched the simulator, it seemed to me that nothing happened. the screen stayed on the springboard.
i then added a new line into CALocationDemon.plist:Key:RunAtLoad Type:Boolean Value:True. and still, nothing happened after launching.
so my problems are, what's wrong here? was the file path in CALocationDemon.plist wrong? are there any limitations or requirements in the code of a daemon? Chris mentioned there can't be NSApplication in a daemon, is that true and does that mean we gotta write, build and compile code with toolchain instead of pure xcode? and, i wonder, is 't seemed to me that nothing happened. the screen stayed on the springboard' just the right view for a daemon?
im sure someone have made great and successful daemons. any clues and tips will do really great favor. so plz lend me a hand, thx a million!
