[Intelliscreen] froze my phone

I should have known better than to try this piece of s#@t software, but I did and now my phone is stuck at the apple logo. The weird thing is that I can access the phone via the iphoneBrowser so I went ahead and deleted the folder containing the application in /Applications and also the relevant folder in /var/mobile/Library but nothing happens - the phone is still stuck. Anybody can help please!!!

That has happened to me after every install up until version 1.04. I tried a bunch of things but in the end to keep the phone stable I just did a full restore after each...

Restoring for me is fun and only takes a few to get it back to where it was. Not sure how you feel about restoring however.

I have given up on the pgm. It's not friendly...

I have so many apps on the iphone that it will be such a hassle to restore and start again from scratch. What really pisses me of is that I've had problems with Intelliscreen in the past but I was able to recover. I thought this latest version would be more stable. What's the best way to jailbreak/unlock nowadays? I used iplus last time

did u happen to have an app that messes around with the same resources as intelly does? like for example having like hmmm Iremind u or something (I forgot the name) prior to the failure?

You could create a custom firmware with all the sources and apps you want preloaded so that when you have to restore, it will install all your apps automatically (Pwnage).

Let's face it, on occasion there are going to be apps that don't mix well and cause your phone to require a restore. It sucks, but that's part of the price for running hacked software. I'm really happy about the custom firmware because I hated restoring or even upgrading firmware because of having to re-install all the apps on the phone.

BTW, Intelliscreen works great on my phone.

Is this app really worth it tho? I tested the beta earlier and didn't really like it (has it changed much?), on the other hand I do like the "look" of iToday. . .

Not IMO, all I would like really is uCalender. Don't need all the other hoopla.

Hey guys, it's too late for me since I went ahead and restored my phone but for what it's worth, I contacted Intelliscreen and this is their reply:

I just installed intelliscreen 1.05 yesterday night. Looks like too much of steroids killed it.

I was thinking of restoring, but thanks to posts from you guys, I used Total Commander to access the file system of the iphone over USB.

At first I did what djpav had done, delete the intelliscreen.app folder. But I noticed that although it would show as deleted, when I reconnected the phone, it would reappear. In the end I replaced the com.apple.SpringBoard.plist and my phone booted normally.

Cant understand why Intelliscreen is working for some and not working for others....
