So I am trying to talk my buddy into helping me code a feature complete and free camera app. I think it is unethical for a company to try to charge for something that is only possible due to the work of people on a free project. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated

Hey, I've been working on the same thing! The camera capture libraries are pretty easy to use. If you need any help let me know and I'll work with you on this.

Currently I have a custom camera app which grabs from the camera and sends a PNG image over wifi to Windows app I wrote. I'm trying to get very fast camera capture like drunknbass and friends have. I know Erica has the code to do this, but I haven't figured it out myself yet.

Yeah I am not much of a coder so I am working on GUI and a friend is actually doing the code. He has basic camera features so far as well as zoom and time delay.

That would be wicked. Somebody needs to explain to me how to make these apps. If I could understand the basic stuff, I could definitely help out, even if its a little bit. I know some Javascript, html, css, and a bit of php but I think iPhone apps are all Javascript. I tried using some javascript code via Jiggy but I never got it to work.

I want to re-code the complete iPhone MAC OS and its baseband - open source - but I don't know how. But I am making an anouncement posting anyway.

Has any of you got any further with your plans? I'd love to see a free Camera Pro, the main thing I want to do is setting an interval between photos in burst mode. Like: take 10 pictures with an interval of 2 seconds. i don't want to pay $20 to someone who had made an app with a community built free SDK, but I would sure donate some money to anyone who does it for free!

Edit: Found Pericam, but as I understand, it can only set intervals in minutes, I want seconds Maybe has to put together my own little script that uses Ericas util "picsnap", whick Pericam also uses btw...
