have Summerboard & Customize... need iSwitcher, Launchers..?
hi friends, very new to the iPhone modding/skinning scene but have been going at it w/ a fervor lately... currently i am using Customize and Summerboard to change things around. i am getting a little worried about having too many different apps that modify things all running at once when i don't understand the interactions, can any give me some suggestions for what combination of springboard mod programs make a good combo? do i need iSwitcher as well, is that just an app for changing icons easily, is there something else i could use to do them on a one-by-one basis?
i am totally lost when it comes to all the different launcher mods as well... iLauncher, Xlauncher, etc... any suggestions for what runs well and stable would be most welcome friends, i am running 1.1.2 on my iPhone for what its worth friends..!

I can't really think of a way to change icons on a one by one basis, short of manually replacing them yourself or creating your own theme. I don't use launchers anymore, but I was fond of Greg Meacher's launchers when I did use them. They were effective and completely customizable. They're on the iSwitcher installer source I believe. As for iSwitcher itself, I've never seen proof that it ever bricked a single phone. It plays well with Summerboard under 1.1.2 for me, but I don't know if you neccessarily need it. The way it changes icons is a bit different than Summerboard. Apps like Dock, Stacks, and most Launchers I've used, don't pick up the icon changes made by Summerboard, whereas, they do the icon changes made by iSwitcher. Of course, if you don't use any of those apps, I can't think of a real need for it, since you do use Summerboard. I think modmyifone is still down, but when they get back up, there is a tutorial for creating iSwticher themes on there if you wanted to go that way. The tutorial says you need a Mac, but you can create them on the iPhone, your mini-mac.
