I have managed to install sabnzbd the newsgroup download application to my iPhone.

For info on sabnzbd see: http://www.sabnzbd.org/

You need to install Python via cydia then copy the sabnzbd source folder to the iphone and Cheetah: http://www.cheetahtemplate.org/

Rename the src folder inside the cheetah folder to Cheetah and copy it into the SABnzbd folder on your iphone.

run sab from the mobile terminal or ssh in and run: python SABnzbd.py -d

Now you can download from newsgroups on the go :-)

Anyone give this a try yet?

I'll do a more coherent guide with screenshots if there is enough interest.

Did exactly what was told but I'm getting this error:

"I refuse to fork without a log directory!"

ok. got the problem solved by initialising SABnzbd.
"python /Applications/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.py -d -f /Applications/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.ini"

i got sabnzbd to run on the iphone

now how do i actually download a nzb say from newzbin and get sabnzbd on my iphone to start downloading?

I know this is an old thread but I've tried to install SABnzbd on my iPod touch and the first time I ran it, it was ok ran through the start up wizard. But now I can't seem to get it running again.

Any thoughts?
