- 1.1.1 jailbroken
- 1.1.3 iTunes upgrade to get baseband
- 1.1.1 downgrade, jailbreak
- could not sync with iTunes because of 'invalid sim', I assumed this was because of the new baseband
- jb113
- soft update, script failed ... finally home screen and hang, reboot
- 1.1.3 everything works but phone
Any thoughts?
replace lockdownd with original one, from 1.1.3, 1.1.3 bb will not work without 1.1.3 lockdownd

My phone's not unlocked (nor will it ever be), and I'm ready to upgrade to 1.1.3, but it looks like it'll be a real pain to get Locations working. Here's what it looks like I need to do (I currently have 1.1.2, jailbroken, with my Applications located on my media partition):
1. Update to 1.1.3 using iTunes
2. Downgrade/restore to 1.1.1 using hackthatphone.com's detailed instructions
3. Jailbreak 1.1.1 (jailbreakme.com)
4. Use Nate's 1.1.3 upgrade/jailbreak steps to get back to 1.1.3
Anyone find a way to do this without having to restore, ie just upgrade the baseband after using Nate's 1.1.3 upgrade?
Apparently, if you have your apps on the media partition "/var/root/Applications", all you have to do is copy the new apps from the system partition "Applications" folder into the media partition "Applications" folder and recreate the symlink to get all installed apps to work again (or most, at least).
I got finished doing this last night and I got no service when it was all complete. I went back to 1.1.2 with that baseband and redid the 1.1.3 jailbreak and it works fine just no location. So I'm back to square one I guess. Any thoughts?

From haklabs.com:
Making “Locate Me” feature in Google app work:
Get into installer and install the “Locate Me” Application found under utilities. Run this app and once it finds your location your google maps then the locater in the app also starts to work. If you do a hard reboot of the phone then this gets reset and you have to run the installer locate me app again.
I tried it, and it does work!
