Getting current SSID from iPhone CLI?
Hi all,
I'm working on an automatic login script for the wifi at my school... basically each time you connect each day it opens up a webpage asking you to log in... which sucks in the MobileSafari browser because it takes over that tab and the back buttons don't work. Anyway, I've got a script working on my MBP, modified from this hint: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...60506184128453
It's just a shell script that gets run by the Kicker every time the network settings change. The script needs to set some variables, and one of them is the SSID. The iPhone unfortunately doesn't have all the handy utilities of a full-fledged OS X install, and so far I've been unable to get the SSID of the current WiFi connection. It must be possible... could anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Rex
