Ok here is my story, I was at a friends house on his wifi which is a dlink with wpa encryption, which my iphone needed to be manually connected to in order to work, like if the phone locked and i unlocked it again i needed to reconnect.

Anyway i was showing of installer and ease of use, i installed tictactoe then the dreaded spinner came up and never went away, i tried to ssh in, but unfortunately couldn't

I held the home + power button restarted and its staying at the apple logo. Still won't connect to wifi

So i tried iPhoneBrowser, but it seems it can't access /. its only seems to be able to access /var/mobile/media, when i click ringtones it won't access them, or anything else.
Same with megaphone.
Is there a way i can access the applications folder over a usb connection to delete the rogue sucker?

Oh and when i came back home it doesn't seem to connect to my home network, which is 'remembered'

EDIT: it was downgraded to BL 3.9 using iPlus, and jailbreaked + unlocked using ziphone(sigh)

anyway i started independence, and it views the phone as 'jailed'

Might as well hook it to iTunes and restore if you get the death spinner...

Well i have had this problem many a time, its just that i've always been at home and have successfully ssh'd in, deleted the problem app and its sprung back into life straight to the lock screen

I just tried to jailbreak it with independence, instead of a complete restore, it didn't work

So basically no connections over USB can access lower than /var/mobile?

You could try ibrickr but you have the zibrickr patch installed so that ibrickr sees its jailbroken

i tried ziphone jailbreak, and independence still showed it was jailed

i retried independence and it worked!!

in independence i went to applications found tictactoe, went delete

then it asked for the ip and password, i was SOO cut, i assumed it was for ssh, and it iphone still wasn't connected to the wifi

well i punched in an ip and alpine, BOOM it worked!!! YES

persistence pays off i guess, a restore would have killed me

Try iphonebrowser man.Best way to do it with cable.The only prob is it crashes if you try to delete edit symbolic links so DONT...For basic filesystem access its highly reccomended

Method 1:

Add i.unlock.no as a repo in installer...

Goto the Unlocking tools category, Install Ziphone iBrickr Fix,

Method 2:

Restore to 1.1.4 and use iPlus2.0b to jailbreak and activate.
