Does the latest version of Summerboard uninstall itself completely through Installer?
Hi,
I just risked a look a the latest version of Summerboard available through the Installer.
However, I didn't like it at all, and uninstalled it after a few minutes.
I'm wondering if there are still any processes of Summerboard running in the background now...
I've heard of terrible performance issues related to Summerboard, this is why I would like to go sure that there's nothing left of it.
I'm running FW 1.1.2.
Thanks in advance

Thanks.
I also like the concept of Summerboard, but it just does not work very well.
I prefer a good performance

so that's what's been making my recently upgraded to 1.1.2 craxh so much...
i've had to restore twice...
guess no tricked out themes for a while...
i was spoiled already with 1.1.1....might have to go back to it...

So is there a way to uninstall it completely? What are the files to remove?

As far as I know, you have to delete those files:
/Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework
/Applications/SMBPrefs.app
/var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes

If it scrolls horizontally, it needn't be related to Summerboard. Horizontal scrolling is implemented since FW 1.1.1.

I have read in a few other sites that the reason that causes summerboard to crash is to turn on "Dim background" option. I saw many people's post reporting no crash after turning this option to off. I have recently uninstalled Summerboard again because of crashes and unfortunately I don't have wifi at the moment to give it another try.
Can anyone confirm who has summerboard and crash issues, to turn this off and report the result?
Thanks
