[Dictionary] Is there a way to delete a word from the auto-correct?
I am so tired of hitting "I'd" instead of "is". I have never needed "I'd" while typing on my phone. Is there a way to remove that word from the phone's auto-correct? PLEASE!

That's actually a great question. I'm sure someone will create a haxie™ to do that, if there isn't one already.
You don't like to type I'd? "I'd like to take you to dinner," you say to your potential girlfriend. "I'd like to go to tonight's beer bash, but I have to take care of my grandmother." I'd = I would, and might be a nice phrase for you to start using.
Seriously though, there is actually a couple of those little keyboard-correction annoyances for me, but I can't remember what they are.

might not be exactly what you're looking for but a quick search turned this up

I haven't tried it but it seemingly shows how to turn off auto correct, if you like. though admittedly editing the autocorrect list would be nice too.

SFTP connect to your iPhone with WinSCP (Windows) or Cyberduck, Fugu (Mac) and goto
/private/var/mobile/Library/Keyboard
In there you will find one file, starting with you language setting then dynamic-text.dat e.g.
de_DE-dymanic-text.dat if you use a German system. To make sure not to screw up, copy a backup of the file to your PC/Mac.
The file can be edited with a plain text editor. Open it. All words your iPhone learned are here in one string. Search for the "wrong" word inside and just delete it's characters and you are set.
Hope that helps

I couldn't agree more!

If you reject the Auto-Correct replacement several times in a row, it seems to "Unlearn" the suggested change. Just watch for the offending replacement to pop up and touch the little X to cancel the "correction". I did this five or six times and the problem with that one word has stopped.
