There's a number of symbols in CoreTelephony.framework that look interesting e.g.
CTDial
CTCallHold
CTCallResume
CTEndCall
Unfortunately as CoreTelephony is a C object we can't just use ClassDumper to get the method parameters (or function prototype, as this is C). As the API is undocumented (or rather official documentation has yet to be released) you'd have to disassemble the library in order to find out how to make the library calls, or how they work...

I remember seeing somewhere an app that call 911 with a click. Maybe you can modify the app to call your number...
Anyone knows this app??

Well...
I try to find the source of 911 package and none was found.
But the henriklied idea was just perfect!!
I've used natetrue Openurl app, and make a new package, put a nice icon and place it in the dock (you can place things in the dock with rSBT)
It works pretty well just one click and its calling my wife.
I don't know how to make a pxl package but if someone want this and don't know how to make it just emailme at mruiz at elarea.com and i will send you a zip file, you need to place it in your /Applications directory and chmod 755 openurl file.

remove the "_" from the link
you need to modify just url.txt (and remember chmod openurl to +x or 755)

If he can release the source code, it would be quite easy to modify it.

If summerboard 2 and rSBT would play nice, you could make a bunch of icons for your most-called contacts using the OpenURL app, stick them all down the bottom of summerboard, and then you have a flick-and-click speed dial setup. Use photos of the contacts to make the icons.
The reason rSBT would have to be involved is if you intended on using other applications. Hiding them with rSBT while leaving the speed dial 'apps' to be dealt with by summerboard.

Hmmm, someone could make a "My5" type where the first four icons are of people you normally call...and have the background match the bottom dock to make it look really cool...
Apple did leave that gap at the bottom...
