...and here we see a perfect illustration of the difference between a feature request and an obnoxious forum post.
You obviously have no idea about how to develop for the iPhone, let alone how to port a bluetooth profile. You want it, you code it.

What are you saying??? Why would we post it here if we knew how to code it

And now the kids are angry because you didn't give them what they wanted... how dare you thecompkid. :p
That said, I would love to see A2DP support on the iPhone someday. I won't be coding it myself though. My knowledge on bluetooth is... well, not up to snuff.

Hmm, thecompkid (not to bright though)
Duh, they also said there would be not native apps, they also said it won't get unlocked, they also said it would be a closed system, and the chipset in the iphone can support it apple just hasn't released one for it...etc
IF SOMEONE CAN BUILD IT IT WILL COME

Maybe this solution for MacOSX should be ported:

I don't know if this is possible, but i'm glad to help.

I checked out the a2dpcast code in the zip. Thanks for the link.
It appears to depend on bluetooth libraries that don't exist on the iphone. Oh, and it's built off CoreAudio examples. I'm assuming CoreAudio on the iphone is probably not complete either. Oh, yeah, and while the BlueCore4 hardware on the iphone supports A2DP, there's much missing. There's no audio device and audio routing API available. The bluetooth "stack" isn't even complete on the iphone so that's going nowhere.
In other words, for people like stech who just like to be whiny and demand stuff, a usable A2DP connection ain't happening soon.

It's a forum, we post whats in question to learn and find things out. No one is demanding anything its pure sarcasm, I'm sorry if you are "sensitive" to the topic.
