I used pwnage tool to pwn my iPhone 3g from 2.0-2.1. I did a clean install (restored).

Prior to this, I used the AptBackup app to backup my Cydia installs, and then I restored them later. Everything was running smoothly.

Now Cydia doesn't even work, it crashes back to springboard. Apps installed by Cydia don't work either. Specifically Snapture and iPhoneVideoRecorder.

Surprisingly, some apps installed by it DO work.
Winterboard, Customize Cycorder, and dock2 launch. So does mypootz.

Customize is unable to change ANY image at all, not sure why.
Winterboard works fine, so does dock2prefs.

I tried changing permissions to 775, doesn't work either.

Anyone have a solution? Some file I can delete if anything?

After PWNing, iPhone reboots with only Cydia showing. Then the iPhone will mysteriously reboot (After 7-10 mins) adding Terminal and WinterBoard.

When launching Cydia, I get a lot of "APT errors" with programs missing like Wb.app and MIM.app.

Customize, even worse, is unable to retrieve any images that a user may use to customize offline.

I hope all these are just temporary transition issues from 2.0-2.1.

Here's the solution that worked for me:

SSH into your iPhone via termina
(ssh root@xxx.xxx.x.xxx)
Password

Then type the following exactly as it's written:
apt-get remove cydia
"Yes do what I say"

apt-get update
apt-get install cydia

Then just respring and cydia should work fine.

Similar for me.
Snapture and videorecorder3g just crashes.
