hello there ;

i just upgrade my iphone from 1.1.3. to 1.1.4 & I have tried many times to put my carrier logo back...with iphone browser...system/library/carrier bundles/unknown bundles Directory...but no luck

this one...

then I surrendered & tyr to install tmobile logo from installer (big boss tweaks)...then reboot my iphone...and guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOTHING...NADA...BIG NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then when i was about to try it again...i found the carrier logo from (big boss) on::::system/library/CoreSevices/SpringBoard.app Directory...

any advice on how to fix it? please......will be much appreciated

Before you started changing logos, did it just say the name of a carrier?

I think a logo change works in two steps: 1. put the logos in the right carrier bundle; the file names should match the name of the (real, actual) carrier; 2. change a line in the carrier.plist file so it tries to match the initial letter of the carrier name with the initial letter of one of the available carrier logos (in this case, your own). This is done with a section like this in the StatusBarImages key:

            <string>t-mobile</string>
            <key>DefaultImage</key>
            <string>Default_CARRIER_TMOBILE.png</string>

(use your carrier).

but i did the code trick...i change <false/> for <true/>, & that's it.....no luck...
maybe I'm doing something wrong . Or missing steps...?

Are you sure your (actual) carrier is an unknown carrier? Maybe it's one of the official carriers, and you should edit that bundle instead of Unknown.

You should use a custom carrier bundle for your acrrier. Check here

I have a web based form that does ll the creation for you. there is one for iphones that got unlicked with pwnage and one for all others.

You should have setup the bundle in a few minutes. The only thing you might want to do is to exchange the custom logo my webservice creates with your logos. check the post.

besides making the logo appear correctly there is more on having custom bundles.

If you dont want all the. When inserting your simcard, what textstring gets displayed as carrier? Like O2, T-Mobile ...

If the displayed string does not match "t-mobile" the following logo is not used. Check the above mentioned thread and you will get this fixed.

try reset all settings, when I do it fixes the carrier logo for me....

fw: 1.1.4 .......T-Mobile..US... windows vista......iphone browser

This Is What I Did.
could help somebody else..

i went to: system/library/carrier bundles/ATT_US .bundles directory,and i pick(Default_CARRIER_ATT.png & FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png) ...respectively.
then i replaced both with my own carrier logo....guess what.. NADA.

but i had the ace under the sleeve,wich it was (make it mine) from erica sadun
then i type AT&T click on set the carrier.......and VOILA got it back!!!!!!!!!!!

as simple as that :hack:
