Is there a way (app) that my ihone reminds me on birthdays i put on the birthday field in the contacts?

I was also wondering this, I havent tested if the phone automaticaly does this.
It would be a cool feature.

You can do this if you're on a Mac:

1. Create a contact with a birthday
2. In your iCal preferences, choose to see the Birthday Calendar
3. In iTunes, choose to sync the Birthday Calendar to your iPhone
4. In iTunes, choose to sync your contacts to the Mac
5. Now birthdays will show up in the iPhone calendar as "all day events".

Great, but I am on Vista...

Yeah that's ok but "all day events" doesn't have kind of alarm nor even a pop up message or something; it would be cool if it appeared on the calendar icon of the iphone a number like when you have new sms or mail. Until now, my birthdays or all day events just appear if I open the calendar and look at the day info. Isn't there any way to iphone can alert you? or chose to modify all birthdays at one time and put the an alarm?

Cant you just create a calendar event called Jhon Appleseed's (lol) Birthday , and place it at a time that you know youll be reminded and choose REPET every year. thats what i do.

but then you would have to erase all the birthdays on your contats, and redo all the birthday appointments again.

I'd love a native birthday reminder...maybe someone could do it?

i sync up my iphone's calendar with my gmail calendar and have my gmail calendar sms me the event i need to be reminded of. it'll also email you a reminder.
