I followed the instructions and am just releasing a pre-patched MeCCA file for easier use. All credit goes to the iphone-elite team! I patched it using XVI32 (a hex editor)

Instructions
-------------------

1. Backup MeCCA file located at /System/Library/Frameworks/MeCCA.framework/ (I renamed mine to MeCCA.bak)

2. SCP the included MeCCA file to this location

3. Set permissions to 755 (I used WinSCP to do this)

4. Reboot iPhone

5. Copy your m4a ringtone to /Library/Ringtones

6. Change the extension of your m4a file from "name.m4a" to "name .m4r"
NOTE: THE SPACE BEFORE THE DOT IS IMPORTANT, IT'S WHAT THE PATCH LOOKS FOR

7. Go to Settings->Sounds and select your ringtone.

I downloaded mecca and i tried to transfer it to my iPhone with ibrickr v0.91 but i dont know if i succeeded(i reeboted the phone after"replacing"mecca).I went into the iPhones System/library/frameworks/mecca framework, but i dont know how to replace it.What program can i use to transfer m4r to iPhone.I tried with ibrickr_v0.91 but this program auto rename's files to m4a so my files look like:beyonce-listen .m4r.m4a and the phone doesn't show them in ringtones.Please give some help with this.Im not to good at computers and software so i need a bit of help.By the way,i have iPhone version 1.1.1 unlocked

Use WinSCP, it works better. Dont forget to set permissions. ( Right click it and go to properties)

after replacing the MeCCA, i uploaded a song to test it out...i saw it immediately in my ringtones...but couldn't see it when i was in a contact...so i rebooted...and wallah it worked

1.1.2 MeCCA is available too. search the forum.
