I really enjoy Backgammon by Adikus, so I donated to have the full set of features.
Now that I've been playing for some weeks, I decided to jump to the next level of difficulty, so now Im on level 2

Is it me? or the only difficulty in this level is playing against a rigged pair of dices?
I see no improvement in strategy, but a I clearly see an improvement in luck for the iphone player.

Is this real, or its just sour grapes for not winning as often?

Is the game cheating with dice?

same in here.. the only difference is that the iphone gets the better dices..

I doubt this is the case. It would take a lot of work to predict what roll would be good, I doubt the author went to that much trouble. It's probably your impression because the computer is playing better.

Ok, so I gave it a shot at level 2. Result?

Didn't notice anything strange about the dice, if anything the computer was a little unlucky.

I've been playing level 3 for quite awhile and haven't noticed anything unusual. Yes, there have been games where the computer was shockingly "lucky" with the dice rolls, but there have been games where I was as well, just like in real life games.

I've been playing backgammon for many years and I have a little saying: "The dice don't know a damn thing about odds."

Well it seems Im not alone... at being a lousy player!

Maybe I'm not counting the times I do have luck, dunno... I also noticed that having a piece waiting to reenter the board is a magnet for unusable doubles dices...

I have been playing Backgammon for thirty years, and to a very, very high level, and I am utterly convinced after playing this game for a while that it cheats somehow. The dice rolls it gets are beyond probability by a very large margin. I played a game yesterday when I had to get a 5 or a 2 to get my piece back on the board, and it was EIGHTEEN throws before I got either a 5 or a 2. Meanwhile, the computer was managing to get itself out of a VERY sticky situation. This sort of thing happens too often. It also seems that if you are way ahead of the computer, you will get a very disproportionate amount of very low dice rolls, 1 and a 2 being all too common.

I have since taken this game off my iPhone - I don't like playing cheats in any game.

I just got back from a trip where I played quite a few games against the phone. I have to agree with cpives2003, that there were some very spooky circumstances where the phone rolled double-sixes and double-fours several times in a row, while I rolled 2 - 1 over and over. Also, where we each had checkers bumped to the bar, and I had 3 slots to get in, it often took 4 or 5 rolls to re-enter the board. The phone, on the other hand, virtually ALWAYS got in on the first roll, even with only 1 space open.

Impossible that it's random? No. Highly unlikely though. Still, I won the majority of games, so if it's cheating, it's not very good at it.
