Thanks for updating the app!
I've just installed it, and when i click your "SMS(SIM)" button, it reports back that the SIM is empty.
However I'm sure there should be some SMSs stored on the SIM - I don't have another phone to put the SIM into to verify this... If someone else could try it would be much appreciated, this is good progress!
Thanks iunknown, I hope we can get this working. Do you ever see a message stored on the SIM if you receive one on another phone (storage set to SIM) and then place it into the iPhone and use the SMS(SIM) function of your app?

Also, another feature which would be FANTASTIC and really easy to implement would be a character counter on the page, so that you can see when you're running over into two SMS messages.
It needs to count up to 160 characters, then display that you're onto your second message for character 161 onwards, then display you're onto your third from 321 onwards etc
Great work

I left myself a voicemail and then checked with your application and there were no messages on the SIM unfortunately.
I will try again with your alphanumeric fix to see if that helps!
EDIT: Nope, I still can't see the voicemail SMSs

How about put the SIM in another phone?

I don't have another phone here to try it with unfortunately, maybe someone else can try?
Also, I've read elsewhere that the SMSs received for voicemail might be a special type of SMS called a "Flash SMS" of which only one is stored at a time, and usually they are displayed instantly on the phone and then deleted. Perhaps they don't get stored to the SIM at all?
If I get hold of another phone, I'll try taking the SIM out for you and see if I get the messages.

aSMS provide forward, mailto, batch send(todo) features and can read the PhoneBook from SIM card. aSMS is a browser based program, so you can use it on a pc remotely. Important For CJK language users, they can use a javascript based IME to input their characters.

http://code.google.com/p/iphone-sms iunknown, you've done a really great job. Bravo! Regarding the flash SMS problem -- i.e. vMail notification -- have a look at my thread on the subject:

Interesting that your App doesn't see the SMS messages on the SIM. I'm going to begin exploring what's happening with the BB in hopes of understanding how the iPhone treats SMS. Clearly it doesn't seem consistent with that of other GSM phones(???)
