hmm, why don't just install both?

Add a number of SMS sent counter. It is very useful to ppl like me who has limited no. Of free msgs per month.

What my suggestion was that, it has to be a proper counter ...
bcoz if i delete ne msg from sent items then that number wud decrease by one ..
that shudnt happen in SMS sent counter ..

It (SMS send counter) should have the following facility :
1) Count number of SMSes sent (if one SMS is >160 characters -> count as 2)
2) shud be resettable to 0 so that no. of SMS sent monthly can be known

WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING SMSD has now stopped sending or forwarding any msgs from my mobile .. it always says failed !!

Few days back it had started working out of the blue and now it has stopped out of the blue .

I tried every possible combination ( with and without coutnry code, with 00 added and what not !! ) I even tried sending to myself, it doesnt even do that.

Note : MobileSMS is able to send msgs at the very same time, so its not a network prob !!

I think that's resolved in the new version due for release. Amrut must be busy as I've not heard from him in a few days now.

I have the same problem, all sends fail, weird. also verified with another user.


Anyway, I bet that will be fixed soon and I would like to post three feature requests that I guess should wait until smsd is stabilized but for now probably should just go on a todo in the future list:


1) RTL (right to left) language support - Hebrew, Arabic & Urdo for example.
Currently the hebrew text in sms's appears backwards (elpmaxe - example). Here in Israel we currently have a working solution for mobilesms.app (http://micsell.dyndns.org/temp/hebsms2.2.zip) - so my guess is, although I'm not a coder, is it shouldn't be too hard to get this to work. Let me know what Amrut says about this and then maybe I can make a connection between him and an Israeli coder. I'm hoping Amrut being from India will give this some priority

2) Sending to favorites - when creating a new sms or forwarding one, make an option to choose from your favorites and not only from contacts.

3) "ignore and dismiss" - when there is an incoming sms have an option to ignore and dismiss it, could be implemented either through choosing to change the behavior of the ignore button or by creating a new third button. This option would together with not opening the message also mark it as read and avoid creating a red balloon over the icon. This is really usefull for cases that you are satisfied with the text that appears in the notification balloon (short messages, ad's, etc).
