3) Contact number issue people have reported
4) Some keyboard issues
Amrut will be working on this for sure but for now he is resting. He made a massive fix for the sending of the SMS... but he's said he'd rather get the stuff in that people want before another release. Should hopefully be end of the week but no guarantee!
No prob.
I'm really happy you are working with Amrut on this project.
Thanks Amrut for the hard work and you iphonedev for the support.
SMSd is an awesome app.
Keep up the good work, it's highly appreciated.

Thank u iphonedev and amrut. U guys really rock. I wonder it would have been so good and so satisfying if I could make such extremely useful apps. Thanks again. Best of luck.

The thanks all go to Amrut really, he's developing the app, I'm just being helpful in bug-testing and development suggestions.
I'm also acting as a conduit for you guys / gals to report problems with the app on your iPhone no matter what firmware you have we'd really appreciate you all to post any problems / suggestions to improve the app.
I'm excited to be part of the community and I'm hoping to do some more work with Amrut on the UI (User-Interface) side of the SMSD app.
Thanks again to everyone.

This is a great program!
I have a q about the templates. I have a list of about 180 people that I want to send texts to weekly, but most of them aren't in my phone book. Is there any way I can make a plist file with all the numbers and then upload it using SSH to the SMSD directory as a template so I can just use the templates with all of their numbers every week?
EDIT: I created a new thread about this here, if anyone is willing to help.
EDIT: Templates are stored in /var/root/Library/Preferences

iphondev, did i understand right that sometimes in the future the interface would also look like the apple sms application? That app lacks a lot of features, but it is pretty nice with that grouping to a specific person, and the history.
Would be sweet if it was possible to change between the apple-style and the inbox/sent style. Then this could be the best app for the iphone. Atleast for me.
Thank you and Amrut for all the work you put into this.

The way I always figured it would work would be have a small arrow on the right side of each bubble in the conversation. Tapping on that would give you a sub menu for that particular text. Creating a group on the fly would be nice as well.
Various 'Books old and new
8 Giggity, Giggity, Gigg-it-y.

Thanks to everyone involved in making this great app (SMSd, don't like WeTool)!
Am I the only one who thinks that the charcounter could be in the NavBar instead of the title "message".. This way more text would also fit on the screen.
And the text: Character Count could easily be deleted..I think everyone is aware of what's going on when the counter decreases along with your typing
Just make it simple like:
123 / 1
161 / 2
in the NavBar, what do you think?
Not complaining, and maybe you've made some changes after those screenshots, just suggestions to make the app even better IMO =)
Keep up the good work!

thanks and a suggestion
dying to get glimpse of v0.09 ...
Thanks to all who have developed this app.
Suggestion : (for iphonedev) instead of having individual msgs under "inbox", make it just like the original mobilesms.app but with a right arrow on every msg in the conversation thru which we get options like .. delete, forward or resend.
This would make the inbox look clean and shorter and much easier to access the msgs which are at the bottom !!
Thanks again !

I agree with raptorjr...this could be the best app for the iphone if the grouping thing can be done...for me, its working right now better than mobileSMS because it doesn't recognizes my area code numbers in my country, so contacts and messages are a mess in the original SMS app.. while not in SMSD!
thanks guys for the hard work guys!!!
