Hi

i'm running v0.2.1 on FW 1.1.3 (iBrickr) ... it works for me but it seems like it only can read the SMS.db cause i can't delete SMS or when i have send a SMS it is only temporary in the Send folder when i restart the App then it is gone ... when i use the original SMS app it saves my send messages
Is there anything i can do to make SMSD write into my SMS.db?

sending sms from out of the contacts doesn't work for me
when i am in someones contact and i hit "text message" i get switched to the last sms i recieved ??
SMSD is set to default, when i switch back to standard app it works again, but not with smsd ?

Hello,

First things first. A lot of people are asking about v0.2.2 and when it will be available on installer. When I submitted v0.2.2 to Ste for hosting it, he (rightly) raised a few concerns. As I was addressing these issues, people started asking about 1.1.3 support. So I asked Ste to hold off 0.2.2 and wait for 0.2.3 which will address issues he raised and also fix 1.1.3 support. So 0.2.2 will not be on installer and installer will directly have 0.2.3 when its ready.

Now, I want announce v0.2.3beta1. This is the first release that supports 1.1.3 as well as older firmware. Obviously this is a big change and I cant release it to wider audience until a few smart people (you!) try it and give me a go-ahead.

The changes are:

* Fix : 1.1.3 Firmware support.
* Fix : Forward to mail was broken.
* Fix : Keyboard key balloons in the top row were not shown properly.

Also, check the home page for Preference support in 1.1.3.

This will be a good time for translators to get the new localization file and send me the translations.

SMSD-v0.2.3beta1 working just great under 1.1.3.
Now it's my default SMS application.

In 1.1.1 find a problem

I select smsd as default sms app, but when I recieve a sms, slide the control to open, but the sms don´t open, open springboard, and I see the smsd icon with number 1, but no enter in the sms autamically
In 0.2.2 this function ok

other thing I see
In 0.2.2, the name of aplication, in my spanish iphone is "mensajes" but now returns the name SMSD. I preffer appears "mensajes" than SMSD

when i got a mised call, and SMSD is set as default app, it notifies me , but when i hit the "text" link i can't see any new message, when i open the MobileSMS i can see who tried to called me.. ??
am i the only one with this bug ?

I would love to see smsd beeing able to use the accelerator(??). Like safari does when you rotate the iphone and you get this wide keyboard.

Is it safe now to install this SMSd and completely remove native SMS program and icon ? Can someone explain to me how to do that, how to make it default for SMS and how to remove native SMS.

0.2.3 beta1 works great here, there is a tutorial on the amrut site explaining how (among other things) to replace the official SMS by SMSD, but applications are swapped, I cannot recommend to delete the original application!

I would like to see at least the last message in history on SMSD, I think that is almost the only thing I miss about the standard SMS app...

Also, a "Call button" would be usefull when you are writing and realize that it is better to talk than write a book as SMS

I dont want to delete the original application, only hide the icon. In Installer i get only 0.2.1 version, nothin newer yet ? I hope that I can switch it back again. I also want to make it default and make it open in bubble view which are not showing correct, both are right side. Amrut, please put latest version on Instaler.

Also, one more thing, in 0.2.3, can Amrut put in Prefs that we can choose wheter we want all new messages view in bubbles or Inbox. Cant wait this new version. And when I make it default in 0.2.3 when it is out I only need to hide original icon in Customize, right ?
