Fuzzy,

either use SSH to connect to the iPhone or WinSCP either way, you need to run the following command:

chmod 755 /Applicatons/SMSD.app/SMSD


SSH login by default is: root / alpine
(user / pass respectively)

This will fix the crashing back to springboard issue for you "Hopefully".

Hi Mark and thanx for your reply. As I did not manage to get SSH to work and since I only have wifi in the office (limited time) i use iphonebrowser and Terminal (on the iphone).

I have done the trick to move the Apps folder to the larger partition and create a link successfully. Can I run the command you suggest from the Terminal (VT-100 something) app directly on the iphone? If yes, do I need to type anything more in addition to the line you gave?

one feature id like the SMSd to have is the ability to foward a sms to an email address or an email to an sms just like how the blackberry has that feature... otherwise smsd i just perfect..

Problem i find with wetool is it was sayn a sms was sent and the recepient wouldnt get it but then as soon as i used smsd it went through and they got it

Well, i found the issue and figured i'd post to help anyone else.

I initially installed 0.9 manually and not through installer. So i uninstalled manually and then tried to reinstall through installer. Noticed that Amrut mentioned to install Erica Sadun's UIctl to turn on the "notifier."

So in installed it, turned on the notifier, and now it works. Also, in case you are interested i uninstalled the UIctl and it still works no problem.

I'll tell you one thing, if Amrut figures out how to integrate his app into the Apple "chat bubbles" i will completely not use the Apple app.

it will be done eventually give it time : )
