[2.0.1][2G iPhone] iRealSMS not working
I saw iRealSMS on Cydia today, I installed the version 1.0.0-2. This application can forward/delete single messages, add contact info in the message, landscape texting and the important feature for me is "delivery notification".
But as soon as I open the application is see the list (inbox, outbox ...) and it says "loading..." then it takes me back to the springboard.
anyone tried this application and does it truly report sms delivery?
P.S. the application is not for free...

I tried the app as well. It *did* work for me, in a sense. The app loaded, and I was able to send messages. However, the messages are encrypted in the free version, so you can't delete them, or forward them. While that may be fine if it was limited to that, both the messages that I sent were delivered encrypted too, which is just stupid.
Also, I didn't get delivery notifications for either, and I had enabled the feature and set the correct notification code for my carrier (Airtel, India).
Nice idea. Poor execution.
I'll stick to BiteSMS for now. I'd really like delivery reports too (I've been pining for it since I switched to the iPhone from my Nokia last year), but for everything else, BiteSMS works fine.
Vote up if I helped. Much appreciated.

many thanks mate for your reply, I really appreciate it.
it's really stupid of them to encrypt it, what's the point of that??...
when you say you set the coorect notification code! how did u get that code? I was trying to find my carrier code (Batelco, Bahrain) for a while, but couldn't do that!!

does bitesms allow u to forward normal sms without buying any bitesms credits?
and does it have a char count?
im from india too and im still on 1.1.4 using smsd
the only reason i was waiting for to upgrade was firmware 2.1 and a non-stock sms app that atleast allows u to forward sms and gives u a char count.
since i use vodafone, i put "*N#" (without the quotes) at the start of every sms and i always get a delivery report but the recipient also sees the 3 chars.
there shud be a similar code for airtel too.

you can set bitesms to use mobile carrier as the default to send all sms... so u don't need to get any credits at all...
to forward/delete a message, just using a finger swip any chat bubble from left to right and it will show u a menue to delete/forward/cancel
and yes it does has a char count..
I use it as my default sms app...
