Default WARNING: possible scam with iphonesimfree sw -> be aware as long there is no proof

The mails people claim to have recieve could not be prooven by ANY third party.

For this reason, as long there is no proove about this email, we warn you that the given offers might be scam! Don't blame us if you get fooled.

Be aware that you can get scammed, your money is away. Not even paypal is safe, the seller will ask you for a 24 hours or 48 delay, spend your money to some nice stuff and while the stuff is on its way to Nigeria, you are sitting there and cry.

For anyone who doesn't want to get scammed or risk money, I suggest waiting just a little bit longer for something real

Sam, what are you implying here? That multiple posters on here are all scammers?

I haven't seen iPhonesimfree offering the unlock on eBay, just members on here co-ordinating a bulk purchase and saying you don't even have to pay until the unlock is available.

I wouldn't cry over the lost of 24 tbh. It's hardly worth the bother of scamming.

Not a fair assessment, Sam - if you check out the ebay posts of reputable members (e.g. Trash, > 100 posts, member since 2006) you'll see that they are asking for no money until the software is confirmed as working by the community at large. I have "purchased" an item but do not intend to pay until the software is confirmed as available. He will withdraw the action by mutual consent if it turns out to be vapourware.

I do not think your "sticky" message is appropriate, in fact I consider it an abuse of your position of authority/seniority on this site. I politely request that you "unsticky" it, as it is based on incorrect and incomplete information, and is purely your personal (and uninformed) opinion. Everyone has a right to their opinions, of course, but not to make their message "sticky".

    My $0.02

EDIT: Sam has now changed the title to a warning to be cautious rather than "ALERT!! SCAM!!" message - thanks Sam!! :-)

then how about donating that money to the dev team if you won't cry for it. at least it's going in a place where they will be well spent and you will get something in return.

I don't know poster on this forum but I asked multiple peopel and this phantom email people calimed ot have recieved had not hit anyone I asked. So I put out a warning.

If you think the loose of 36 Eur per person is nothing, imagine this *1000 and you have funded a scammers next year of living or even years in serveral countries.

Sam, please demote this to a normal post and treat it as a normal discussion. Your "WARNING - SCAM!!!!" post is inappropriate and alarmist.

EDIT: Rather than demoting it, Sam has changed the title of the thread to a far more appropriate title. Thanks, Sam! :-)

What evidence is there, currently, that this won't get something in return?

I will happily donate to the Dev team once there is something available for us. I am far from 'something for nothing'.

By the logic used in this thread, donating to the Dev team is just as risky as everything else.

at least they have delivered during this period unlike others that just copied work and did a face-lift on it and then claimed money for it.

there is no evidence either way yet! but the fact that you would give away money for someone without any proof, seems pointless... at least the dev team did something...

Who will test if noone has to pay it? He asks still for 36 Eur delivery fee.

Wow, so he sells something in advance he doesn't know if its real/legit/$else yet?

Fell free to feel however you like, but as staff we have to protect the user at least a bit and if you read carefully you might have noticed its a warning of possible scam. Its even asked to wait.

It will stay sticky, this forum will not become a platform for sell in advanced early bird seller of even possible vapourware.

Its made sticky if its useful to inform user of possible risks and or something important, thats a decission of the staff, not yours.
