FS: New 8Gb UK 1.1.2 iPhone With New O2 PAYG SIM With Calling Credit

Hi

I have a brand new UK week 43 1.1.2 Jailbroken phone for sale.

All I have done is open the box to complete the downgrade to 1.1.1 - jailbreak then upgrade to 1.1.2 - jailbreak. All of the original accessories are present and the cellophane protection is still on the phone.

I have included an O2 PAYG SIM card with £10 of calling credit so the phone is ready to make calls out of the box. The original O2 contract SIM is also included. I will also send the purchase receipt for warranty purposes.

I would also like to here from anyone who can advise on a safe method of taking payments for items sold in this way.

Western Union - is OUT
Paypal - Buyers use a compromised account which results in Paypal yanking back the payment.
Personal Cheque - Same as above even after cheque has cleared.
Bank Transfer - Same as above
UK Postal orders - May be the way to go. Are these as good as cash?

I prefer personal collection and payment then both parties are happy (seller receives payment in cash and buyer tries product before payment)

OR

Payment in cash (sent securely) but then the buyer has to trust the seller to send the item.

Anyway if a method can be arranged I would send the item via Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery (UK) which includes £500 insurance or payment on collection is welcome.

Buyers outside of the UK MUST send cash in UK Pounds Sterling and contact me for shipping cost.

Not a bad deal for someone that doesn't know how to jailbreak, which you're charging £60 for. Postage in the UK will only be £5

£50 when you include the £10 included calling credit on the sim.

So I go to the o2 shop, purchase the phone and sim, return home, Jailbreak etc then after the sale I package the phone then take the phone to the PO and return home.

How much would you charge? What do you think is reasionable for this service? If you dont want the hassle of buying a phone, jailbreaking etc and having a phone delivered to your door without having to do f**k all, this is the way.

My local franchised car dealership charge £70 per hour for labour only (this is not a direct comparison I know but it makes my point)

Also, you're selling a used phone, there's a risk that it could be damaged or delayed / lost in the post. There's a risk you could just decide to keep the phone and the money. So you've got to take that into consideration too.
Buying from the Apple store would be simpler than buying from you, so don't make out you're doing all the hard work for a little reward!

Please answer my questions.

If people are afraid I'll keep the money they are welcome to pay on collection.

It takes like 10 mints to downgrade, jb, upgrade, jb... you're makin a lot of money, especially considering all the information to perform the procedures are available for free..

eBay is the way to go, you can buy a US 1.1.2 OOB for around 440$US-480$US delivery to UK, then you save like 200$US or 100quid...

This ad was intended for folk here in the UK that wanted a UK configured phone delivered to their door.

If you don't like it don't buy. It has nothing to do with you what I make on my phone.

FYI if you bother to look on eBay UK you will see that my phone is very competitively priced for UK buyers
