Default [London] where I can unlock ?

I wrote a thread before, but for some reason, its gone now, so I will ask again....

Does anyone know if there is anyone providing an unlocking service in London? Im rubbish with computers and dont understand about 95% of the stuff you lot are talking about so would prefer to pay someone to unlock my iphone for me than me messing it up! Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Hey.

its very easy to unlock it youself. I was in your position about a month ago, and i bought an iphone jailbroken from ebay for 310. Now, i feel like i have wasted my money, because its so easy to do.

have a look at the guides on iclarified website, and also look at a few youtube videos. trust me, its really easy. (don't update to 1.1.3 through itunes though)

Unfortunately, i might have already done that! I was sent ibrickr and had to use it at work as I have a Macbook and couldnt work it at home, I tried to boot my iphone and it said I had to connect to itunes and restore my phone. Against my better judgement, my friends that apprently "are good with computers" told me to click restore, and now, obviously its reset my iphone to factory settings and is also possibly 1.1.3??

    Hi Gavrr3

I live in Somerset, so you can send the phone for unlocking, or PM me and we can chat over MSN. I can help you do it yourself.

    Cheers

if you have updated to 1.1.3 through itunes, then there is no one that can help you now. You have to wait till 1.1.4 is released.

meanwhile, you might be able to downgrade to 1.1.1: jailbreak: oktoprep: update to 1.1.2 and use your iphone as an itouch.

search google, and downloade these files:
    1) iphone 1.1.1 firmware
    2)iphone 1.1.2 firmware.
    3) independence
    4) jailbreak for 1.1.2

then, click option key in macbook (alt) and click restore: it will ask you to select the file to restore from: choose the 1.1.1 file.

After it tries to restore?: it will say error 1015, cannot complete or something. at this point, itunes will say you need to restore: click ok, and close itunes.

now load up independence: and wait, it will kick it out of restore mode. now, slide the "slide to unlock".... and so on, till you jailbreak it.

I've used a company in London Bridge called fone doctors (was actually recommended by Carphone Warehouse!) - bunch of laughs but found the guys great and seem to know what they are talking about - their number is 020 7403 9111... Hope this helps
