Just a quick note to let people from Dubai know that Sharaf DG @ Timesquare Mall are selling the iPhone (i've also heard Geant). Do not ask me how they are doing it or if it is legal, I have no idea.

The phones are brought over from US, unlocked and are being sold. They are running 1.0.2 but don't ask the staff many questions. The guys I spoke to were clueless. They were claiming it was unlocked by Apple and you can upgrade without problems. Obviously not the case.

Anyway the iPhones were 2,600.00 Dhs (I know, a lot of money - trouble is there are a lot of people here with a lot of money).

Might be an option if you wanted one today!
