Is there a way to disable the startup chimes on Intel Macbook? The Macbook came with Windows XP Pro installed, no Mac OS ,so i cannot use any of the Mac apps to disable it. I dont want to remove XP and install OS X just to disable the chimes.

Well for a start it cant be a macbook as no macbook i know comes shipped with xp..xp has nothing whatsoever to do with your osx install..why am i answering this...does it matter? just turn off the sounds in preferences or something..grrr use google! how is this even a problem!
