Default 10.4.11 installer disk with EFI patch included.

First of all, I like to thanks Netkas for his job on the EFI patch, amazing stuff!!!.

As the title says, Im working on a 10.4.11 DVD and Im trying to include the EFI patches as an installer option. I successfully added the MBR ones without problems (a shell script does all the job). The trouble comes with the GUID ones, when trying to dd boot0 to dev/diskX. Aparently all partitions on the disk needs to be unmounted otherwise I get 'resource busy' message.

I would need some sort of command that give me a numerical output according to how many partitions are on the disk. Then I could do a variable out of it and use it to unmount the partitions.... or a way to unmount all partitions at once (I dont know if this is possible)

If someone has an Idea about this please share it here....

cheers.

The image will be up at B.S and mininova in a couple of hours for those wanting to test/use it. Weight around 2.5 gb.
It is based on the 10.4.10 disk but includes EFI patches for MBR/GUID partitions, lastest 8.10.1/8.11.1 kernels, and a few more drivers...
bugs will be handled by PPFs like before.

allright!

I know this is "Hackint0sh", but I don't believe we are really equipped to help OSX86 voyeurs. If anyone knows a better site for OSX86, please let me know. I love this site and visit it everyday, but I also need an OSX86 site as dedicated as this one. Thanks EVERYONE!!

hi!

I just got windows to place on my intel based macbook, but dont have enough hard disk space to support a partition. I need to restore my disc to the way it came originally. However, the mac support people say i need my install disk, which i unfortunately lost. If i mounted this in some way, would i be able to clear out my hard drive with the disk like i would be able to with the real copy? thank you!
